Craft of Charisma’s “Men’s Program” is an eight-week program designed to nurture extraordinary men and healthy relationships.
Craft of Charisma’s “Elite Men Program” is an ten-week program designed to nurture extraordinary men and healthy relationships. We help men connect with themselves, the people they care about and love, and pursue a life of deep personal meaning. We do this by helping men to understand who they are on their deepest levels, to explore their dreams, and to align with their desires and values. Then we help them to make the changes necessary to pursue the life and relationships that they’ve always wanted.
If you’re a man who feels lost, that something is off, or who doesn’t know how to get to where he wants to be in his life or relationships — this program is for you.
We believe that healthy masculinity and healthy relationships are a natural consequence of a man being healthy and feeling whole. Men are natural protectors and leaders, but as men go through life, negative experiences can build up, get in the way, and cause a man to both disconnect from others and himself — including his true and deeper self.
These experiences can be major traumas (deaths, failures, breakups, divorce, abandonments, financial loss, health issues, traumatic experiences), the daily grind (work, life, chronic stress, toxic environments, limit human connection, overworking, living out of alignment or without purpose, survival — doing what needs to be done) or a combination of both. All can be isolating, especially for men, who are often taught that they have to be self-sufficient and that they must face life on their own. Men are discouraged from asking for help, even when they need it.
In addition, men are taught to suppress their emotions and needs. They’re conditioned to project emotional stability, hide signs of weaknesses, and they’re discouraged from expressing themselves. Men are taught not to complain, to suck it up, and to push forward — again surpassing their emotions. Men are trained to compete with other men, this can be healthy, but it can come at the expense of how to bond, build alignments, collaborate, and connect with other men — leading to a feeling of isolation. All this conditioning serves men in certain ways, but it also leads to major problems.
If man doesn’t have the right support, he’s likely to internalize traumatic experiences. This can put a man in his head, get him caught in his thoughts, and can cause him to shut down in many ways. This disassociation can disconnect a man from his emotions, feelings, intuition, bodily sensations, environment, imagination, goals, values, and from the people he cares about most (family, friends, children, co-workers, his partner, or potential partners). It can also inhibit a man’s ability to make friends, connect with other men (and women), and experience romance, deep intimacy. This can make it difficult, or even impossible, for a man to nurture and sustain healthy relationships, because a man’s relationships can only be as healthy as he is.
The Craft of Charisma Men’s Program is designed to combat of these challenges and more. It gives men the tools they need to connect with their goals, themselves, and others, so they can be the extraordinary men, and leaders, they were meant to be.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
We start the program with a three day camping trip in upstate New York. We’ll be in nature; sleeping in tents, cooking together, sharing meals, hiking, swimming, sitting around a campfire, and telling stories. Nature is the perfect setting for this type of deeper work. It’s an opportunity to connecting with ourselves, each other, our environment, and to get clear about what we want to get out of this program.
For the next eight weeks, we’ll meet every Tuesday, from 6:30pm-9:00pm, for our weekly workshops.
Some the topics we’ll explore:
- Manhood and Being a Man
- Health and Well-Being
- Values and Goals
- Relationships, Dating, Love, Partnership and Marriage
- Nurturing Connection, Community and friendship
- Emotions and Intuition
- Family and Fatherhood
- Trauma, Triggers, and Conflicts
- Elderhood and Being in Service
We’ll end the program with a look at our intentions, goals, class projects, and a celebration.
The Men’s Program is capped at 8 men. The retreat will take place in Upstate New York, September 27th, 28th, and 29th. The weekly workshops will be held on eight consecutive weeks, October 8th – November 26th, 2019, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm in midtown Manhattan (Details will be given after registration).
